Rock River Landslide Lake (中文版:石頭溪堰塞湖 ) is a newly formed lake in Yilan, Datong Township.  This lake covers an area of about one hectare and was formed by a landslide in 2018.  The lake is about 2.2 meters deep in the middle, and it may only last a few years.  To get to the lake, park in the watermelon fields at the bottom of the mountain, and hike up Stone River 2.8km, which takes about 90 minutes.

Although the bottom of the lake is covered in mud, the rocks under the mud are sharp, so it's recommend to wear shoes.  Due to the soft ground, it's easier to enter the lake from the back side.  Although we saw evidence of much wildlife round the like, we did not see any fish.
