- Golden Falls
Golden Falls (中文版：黃金瀑布 ) is a colorful waterfall in New Taipei City, Ruifang District (新北市瑞芳區), not far from Jiufen Village. Busses between Jiufen and Ruifang stop there along their route.
Golden Waterfall's distinct color and name come from the metals in the tailings left over from the old gold mine that used to operate in the area. These metals are toxic, making Golden Waterfall a beautiful but sad reminder of Taiwan's pollution problem. It's also the only waterfall on this website that I don't advocate swimming in.
