- Mawuku River Estruary
The Mawuku River Estuary (中文版：馬武窟溪口) is where the Mawu River empties out into the pacific ocean at Donghe Village in Taitung County, Donghe Township. Here the river is wide and shallow, and the water is slow moving, although there may still be some deep areas. The river mouth is a popular place to play with boats and Stand-Up Paddle boards, while the adjacent beach is popular for surfing. Paddlers can row upriver to the Old Donghe Bridge, where there are many large and interesting boulders in the river. The south side of the river is a buffalo ranch.
