Baxian Waterfall (中文版：八仙瀑布) is an impressive waterfall in Hsinchu, Wufeng Township. The waterfall can is most commonly viewed from the road, but there are also two paths that go down to the waterfall from the road. One path leads to the river below the waterfall. From the bottom you can river trace up, which and takes about 40 minutes. Going through the river isn't recommended for beginners. Another path starts at the top and goes down to the waterfall through the forest. This path doesn't cross the river at all, but it isn't very clear and easy to follow. Keep and eye out for the widely spaced, red hiking flags along the path. They will take you all the way down.
