Babian Waterfall (中文版:八邊瀑布) is a large waterfall in Taitung County, Chenggong Township.  Below the waterfall is a round pool that is 4-5 meters deep.  It's an ideal place for swimming and jumping.  This waterfall may become dry during the winter and early spring, and is best visited in the summer and fall.  Getting to the waterfall requires a short river trace, less than 1km, but due to the large rocks in the river and climbing required, it still takes about an hour.  There are a few shallow pools along the way, but for the most part this river is filled with large rocks.  The main waterfall is above a smaller waterfall, and getting there requires climbing up or jumping across.  The pool has no shallow areas, it's deep all over.
