Yuemeikeng Waterfall

Yuemeikeng Waterfall (中文版:月眉坑瀑布) is a large waterfall in Yilan, Jiaoxi Township.  There is a well-made path that goes all the way to the waterfall, but the last 30 meters of walking are in the river.  A round-trip hike to the waterfall takes about 1 hour.  Yuemeikeng Waterfall is a curtain-type waterfall, falling into a large bowl, with a shallow pool in front of it.

On the way to Yuemeikeng Waterfall there is a small side path which will take you to another waterfall.  This waterfall is smaller, but the pool is deeper and better for swimming in.  Swimming is required to get to the base of this waterfall.

Wufengchi Waterfall is near Yuemeikeng Waterfall and uses the same parking lot.  They can both be visited in the same day.
