Yuanyang Waterfall

Yuanyang waterfall (中文版: 鴛鴦瀑布) is a neat double waterfall in Pingtung, Chunri Township. Two different streams empty out into the same hole at the same point. The result is quite spectacular. It's good for swimming in when the water is not raging. It's hard to show in pictures, but the left waterfall comes down in several tiers from hundreds of meters above the river.

The hike itself is very beautiful. You'll pass 4 small waterfalls along the way. There is no path in the river, so just find your own way. It's not a hard hike, but if you don't choose efficient routes through the river, you'll be fairly tired by the end. As the sunsets, the golden hour makes the waterfall and surrounding hills shine a very beautiful color.
