Eagle God's Waterfall (中文: 神鷹瀑布) is a fun and easy to get to, five tier, roadside waterfall in Layi. It's literally right next to the road, there is no hiking required. (For tiers 1 and 2, tier 3 you have to climb to.) Eagle God's Waterfall swells to unswimmable proportions after a heavy rain, yet completely dries up in the winter. The best time to go is from the first heavy rain (May-June) until around February.
Tier one is the most popular, because I think most people who go there don't know about tiers two and three. It can be seen from the main road, and is a good place to relax and have some beers. It's a popular place local swimming hole, and it's got a nice jump.
Tier is also right next to the road, but it's a different road. To get there take the small street opposite the bridge up the hill. After about 2 minutes, you'll see the waterfall. The water here is not as deep as it is in Eagle God's One. It's still a nice place to cool off. There used to be a temple built until the waterfall, but most of it has since been washed away.
To get the the third tier, look for the ropes on the right side of tier 2.
I have not been to tiers 4 and 5, but I hear tier 5 is 100 meters tall.
