Nine Layer Waterfall (中文版:name)is a group of waterfalls in Kaohsiung, Taoyuan District.  It's located about a 800 meters upstream from Fuxing Hot Spring. This 5.5km from the end of the road, and it takes about 5 hours road trip.  The river between Nine Layer Waterfall and Fuxing Hot Spring is very colorful, and there are many beautiful rock formations.  A landslide at the base of the waterfall has made it more difficult to climb up, and reduced the size of the pool at the top.

For the first half of the hike, the Lakamisi River is high in minerals. These turn the rocks yellow and the water a brilliant shade of blue-green. The coating on the rocks gives good traction, making the river easy to cross. After 3km the river becomes clear, and just before the hot spring the rocks turn red, due to high iron deposits in the riverbed.
