Lakesi River Swimming Pools

Lakesi River (中文版:拉克斯溪水游泳池) is a colorful river in Kaohsiung, Taoyuan District. The river is warm and the rocks brightly colored white and yellow by mineral in the water. A flood mitigation weir creates a giant, chest-deep green swimming pool 2.2 km up the river. Currently (3/2017) regular cars can drive almost all the way there along a dirt road in the river. At the end of the road there is a large camping area.

(Update: 2017/4/3) The only constant in change. This place appears to have filled with gravel. Hopefully the next typhoon will clean it out.
