Fuxing Landslide Lake (中文版：復興堰塞湖) is a deep lake in Kaohsiung, Taoyuan District. It was formed by a landslide during Typhoon Marakot in 2009. When the lake is full it covers an area of 2.4 hectares. It's great for swimming but get's deep immediately. There are no shallow areas.
The path to the lake is not well defined, with tall grass and dense undergrowth, which can be difficult to follow in parts. For those interested in a challenge though, it can be a very rewarding hike, which takes about 2 hours. Please refer to the map on this page for the easiest route to the lake.
Fuxing Landslide Lake is upstream from the Lakesi River Swimming Pools, you'll pass them on the way.
